The Saltwater Eco team we overjoyed by support we received for our annual Omaha community beach clean event. This year we ran the event in celebration of Conservation Week and in association with the Department of Conservation (DOC).
The event included a marine education session, zoned beach clean up and volunteer prize raffle, followed by discounted surf lessons for volunteers.
Massive thanks to The Bach Surf Shop, Eco Food Wraps, Young Ocean Explores and OOB Organic for the great prize donations. And a big shout out to all our wonderful volunteers that turned up and gave back to their local coastline.
Final count 20 bags of rubbish and 5 bags recyclables.
